 Christopher L. Cline

Christopher L. Cline holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond Kentucky. He worked his way through college as a Loss Prevention Officer with a department store in Lexington, KY. Chris has been in Law Enforcement for 13 years beginning with the Franklin Police Department in Franklin, KY. In 1994 Chris was selected to attend, and ultimately graduated from, the rigorous twenty-four week Kentucky State Police Training Academy, becoming a Kentucky State Trooper.

He was promoted from Senior Trooper to Detective in 1997 and was assigned to the Warren County Drug Task Force in Bowling Green, KY where he served 4 years. During his time there, Chris was selected to be Technical Surveillance Detective and gained enormous field experience and training in that area. In 1999 he was awarded the Commissioner's Commendation Medal in keeping with the highest tradition of the Kentucky State Police. Chris was responsible for primary training of newly assigned Detectives to this unit. His investigations and team-oriented attitude lead to innumerable state and federal convictions. Meanwhile, Chris developed and has maintained life-long rapport with Local, State and Federal Agencies. A few of his specialized training certifications include the following:

  • Electronic Techniques in Undercover Operations
  • Basic Audio/Video Surveillance
  • Technical Video Surveillance I
  • Electronic Locating and Tracking Techniques (GPS & Electronic Systems)

  • Indoor Cannabis Cultivation Investigations
  • Post Blast-Explosives Investigations
  • Night Vision and FLIR (Forward Looking Infra Red) Certification
  • Commonwealth of Kentucky Peace Officer Professional Standards Certification

As his investigation skills and extensive, specialized in-service training increased, his desire for investigations and expertise in Audio/Video Surveillance carried him to a new echelon in 2002. Chris continued his law enforcement presence in order to maintain his Kentucky Peace Officer Professional Standards Certification by securing a Detective position with the local Sheriff's Office in his home town. Chris earned a position as Senior Investigator with the (SIU) Special Investigation Unit aboard one of the most well respected, major insurance carriers in the nation working in both Kentucky and Tennessee. Chris works multi-line investigations including but not limited to arson, worker's compensation, auto and property thefts, bodily injury, surveillance and other complex fraudulent investigations. His duties encompass detecting all types of fraud and misrepresentation from policy inception, to the date of loss and ultimately, case conclusion. In addition, Chris provides training to the company and his SIU unit. Chris works closely with claims adjusters, insurance defense counsel, law enforcement entities and prosecutorial officials. He also conducts interviews of witnesses and suspects, utilizes information databases and conducts Examinations Under Oath (EUO).

Chris joined the L&W Investigations team as the Principal/ Senior Investigator of his office in August 2004 and holds his current Commonwealth of Kentucky Private Investigator's License. Chris is affiliated with the following organizations:
