Brian LaPointe
Brian comes from ICS/Merrill where he was a Case Manager
for SIU Investigations for several large Insurance
companies that ICS/Merrill managed.
Brian was responsible for providing accurate and timely
reports between the field and SIU department. He also
conducted investigations for Surveillance, Interviews,
EUO questioning, Scene Photos, and detecting Insurance
fraud. Additional responsibilities included the direct
SIU supervision for 30 complex claims adjusters and SIU
field Investigators; he also worked with the V.P. of
claims for Insurance clients and participated with round
table meetings with executives on all ICS/Merrill
accounts. Brian conducted training for both
Investigators and clients’ Claims staff in Forensics,
and Mortgage fraud.
Previously, Brian owned his own investigation firm and
has a first-hand understanding of the importance of what
it takes to manage an investigation business. Previous
employers include RSight/Intel Group Trace
Investigations.
Brian has also worked for several years on the
sales side selling Insurance. He served in the Marine
Corps where he assisted in training of 40 US Marines.
Brian attended Bryant
College
where he studied business law. In addition, he has also
taken continuing education classes at the
University
of Maryland
where he earned a Government Purchasing and Contracting
Certificate.
He has a Life, Health & Variable Annuity License, and a
Private Investigator license in multiple states
including Florida and
Massachusetts.
Since 1992 Brian has had the distinction of being
a black belt following 13 years of study in Shaolin
Kempo Karate.
